Happy Wheels has been released just as the final chapter for Flash has concluded—a nerve-wracking moment for many. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and hope that the anticipation of losing Flash didn’t spoil your sleep. If you weren’t aware that this version was in development, here’s some great news: this marks the first public release of the game. Please bear with us as we work to address any remaining bugs.
Although I personally prefer Flash, I appreciate that this version runs exceptionally well on mobile devices. Currently, however, there are no on-screen mobile controls implemented; these will be added in the next update. Thank you for your patience. If you’re eager to try it out on your phone immediately, a Bluetooth keyboard can serve as a reliable alternative.
While I initially stated that the game would run at 60 frames per second, some of the more challenging stages may run slightly slower at this framerate. Fortunately, a setting currently exists to adjust this, and I may also consider hosting a separate 60 Hz version for users with high-performance CPUs.
The rest of the game, Happy Wheels JS, faithfully replicates the original’s design and gameplay experience. The user database, levels, and replays remain intact since the initial release. The only thing that’s disappeared is the impending doom of the universe’s end.
